Welcome to Peace through Yoga. If you are curious about yoga or have never stepped foot into a studio, we invite you to walk through our doors. You will find kind, warm people and a relaxed environment to make you feel comfortable. Bring friends or make friends. We also have yoga studios in Speedway and Danville.
My only exposure to Yoga was a 6 week course years ago following an injury. I had explored several books and always knew I wanted to practice, but never jumped in. Then I happened to run into a man I knew in Danville at a coffee shop. He was showing a lady around town who was planning to open a new business. Long story short, it was this yoga studio- a first for Danville and such a great new addition. Move ahead almost two years later and I have truly found a home. If you want an accepting and peaceful place for self discovery and growth, look no further. There are three locations to choose from with a variety of styles and instructors. I have made a real connection here and have never looked back. If you have been considering yoga, jump in now and give it a try at Peace Through Yoga. You won’t be sorry.
I’m pretty new as a yogi. I started doing Yoga 16 months ago. As a runner I need to stretch my muscles and yoga is the best for me. My wife and I practice once a week at Peace Through Yoga and we really love it. The studio is very peaceful, the energy is positive and all the teachers are very knowledgeable and friendly. If you live in Speedway or around, I highly recommend you to come with your spouse or friend and experience this unique moment of calm and exercise.
I started off practicing yoga four years ago with a personal practice. When I was ready to start moving into a community, I found it very difficult to walk into downtown studios and find peace and comfort. When I would go to classes, the practices were based on getting the best workout you could in an hour and not the spiritual aspect of yoga.
Ever since the first class I attended Peace Through Yoga, I instantly felt loved and cared for. With smaller classes I know that I am being paid attention to. I have the ability to trust that I am practicing alignment correctly, because I get adjusted if I’m not. Never have I felt judged or out of my league. And I genuinely look forward to seeing the friendly faces I meet in class.
I am so thankful for this studio and I look forward to growing my practice with Peace Through Yoga.
I am new to yoga and fell in love after my first class with Mindi. I have a daughter who loves yoga and was encouraging me to try for a few years. At age 45, I finally took the first step and signed up for a class. I was nervous at first, but felt welcomed from the start and was very comfortable through the whole class as I fumbled through. Even though I did not really know anything about yoga or what to expect, the class was easy to follow and taught to accommodate any level. As stated in the title, I found a love for yoga!
Since I have only been practicing for about a year, I am a fairly new yogi. My husband, who practices regularly at work, encouraged me to try yoga. At first I was hesitant because I have never been particularly coordinated. However, with the stresses of a full-time job and a toddler at home, I decided to attempt yoga. I attended Mindi’s beginning yoga class at her Danville studio, and discovered the wonder that is practicing yoga. Mindi and her knowledgeable teachers at Peace Through Yoga are encouraging and caring. Everyone is welcomed into her studio and invited to share in the community created there. The studio teaches us not to judge ourselves or others, but to love ourselves and our practice. Each time I leave Mindi’s studio, I feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and respected. Thank you for helping me to discover Peace Through Yoga.
I have been regularly practicing yoga at Peace Through Yoga for approximately 16 months and love that they offer not only various levels and classes at all of their various locations but that they also offer other life improving activities. I will soon be attending a Vision Board workshop, and I am going on the Yoga Adventure trip to Costa Rica in February. They truly integrate peace and yoga into one’s life rather than it simply being another exercise option. The Danville studio, in particular, is beautiful and serene in an old building with a painted tin ceiling. It is the essence of peaceful and spiritual.
Peace through Yoga is a great yoga studio where instructors and classmates welcome you to your practice. All three studios are beautiful and calming, each with their own uniqueness. Instructors offer corrections and ensure proper technique, while challenging you to try new things. There is a wide variety of different classes that you can take during the week and you don’t have to commit to a certain class – great for me as my schedule changes frequently. I’ve been attending classes there for about three years and love being a part of this yoga community!
